Why only football? 19:14 - Sep 10 with 2812 views

I've been out of the country and have missed a lot of the detail of the news, so maybe someone can explain why everything seems to have continued as normal, cricket continues, rugby plays on, horses race, shops,pubs and everything else is open as normal, but football ha been cancelled for the weekend. Why the special case?

It has worked out pretty well for me though, thanks to hopeless baggage handlers at Luton I would have missed this one, but it still seems odd that only football is canceelled.

Got it wrong for me as did the Cricket as Friday at the Oval the stadium was empty so no respect on show , Saturday was very different Long long applause and a very moving rendition of God Save the King . I know which day showing the most respect .
