Not sure if any of you had followed “The case against Adnan Syed” when it first came into the public eye, but overnight he has been released after 23 years and given the opportunity of a retrial.
I suspect that a combination of poor defence lawyers, over zealous policing and new evidence will mean that the case never gets resolved satisfactorily.

I assume he thought that justice would ultimately be done, I guess it has, but it’s taken 23 years.

It seemed really unlikely he did at first but as it dragged on it was hard to place why he seemed more guilty then - will never be enough to reconvict him now as trial was shoddy then |  |

He basically seemed to be convicted based on phone mast evidence which was proven to be massively flawed and the testimony of some weird bloke as opposed to anything concrete.
Was all very circumstancial on both sides really

....are both plainly innocent.
When that one gets quashed the police are going to have a lot of questions to answer.
I wonder if the Syed case will put more pressure on those looking at Avery. | |
