A short thread...
Ben Wallace, Secretary of State for Defence. Initiated the response over Ukraine, got the British Military top brass on board and singing from the same hymn sheet on it.
And then, critically, TWICE has said, in response to clamour that he should stand as a leadership candidate and exploit his achievements:
"FFS! Don't you know there's a war on? Please just leave me the fck alone to do my job!"
And that's it for me.
There was that bloke having a breakdown in the Commons Lobby the other night who sounded like he cared about the total shtshow because of how it was damaging the country, but then his mask slipped at the end and he blubbed "And us poor Backbenchers are going to lose our jobs!" So not him.

Johnny Mercer. For his efforts to look after veterans. Trouble is, he’s blotted his copybook by how he’s gone about it. He freely admits voting with the government on policies he doesn’t agree with in order to get to the position where he can help vets. So he’s happy to screw many other people over in the process.
Still, he’s the only one I can think of who’s gone up in my estimation (although I still think he’s a dick for supporting horrendous policies that are taking away our rights, fking the environment and making us all poorer). |  |
