and leave £9bn a year extra to invest.

Austerity is a political choice just as much as the Brexit promises were a pack of lies.

I'm still waiting for my unicorn, and the price of food to drop as well as VAT on energy to be cut

Mind you, at least Truss gave us an insight into what Brexit would really cost, as her Brexit styled mini budget cost the country an estimated £30bn

"the chancellor is expected to make clear that he is, in large part, having to repair damage caused by the last occupant of No 10, who was backed by many rightwing Tory MPs."............. and the rightie media, plus the clueless Fartrage

Today was the best Conservative budget since 1986.

I think we need to applaud more so that they won't complain about their lack of pay.

My hands are in a bad way from almost three years of non-stop clapping. Can I get some medical attention?

In the small print for private medical insurance, pre-existing conditions are not covered. Which means that once the NHS has gone, you will regret admitting that your hands are already damaged.

Just three of my drugs would cost me about £1k a month.

Fortunately as any such scheme would be phased in over a number of years (to avoid upsetting pensioners), I'll be dead before it kicks in.

If I'm not, then my demise won't be long after.
