Has anyone got a Sonos Arc? 22:15 - Nov 27 with 1103 viewsdavblue

Thinking about getting that with the sub and and 2 speakers in the Black Friday deal.

Are they any good? Had enough of my Samsung soundbar disconnecting from the Wi-Fi and having to connect it up every week.

Yes. I have sonos throughout the house, so I didn’t take a lot of persuading when the arc was released.

The sound is excellent and connects through an HDMI cable rather than the optical cable. The Arc still has good bass without a Sub, but with the Sun and two Sonos 2 speakers at the rear it’s is cinema quality sound.

It’s also Alexa enabled so you no longer need a music system in the lounge. You can also use it to turn your telly on and off, lights on and off, adjust your heating if you have Alexa compatible devices.

Do you have any other Sonos products?

I have a Beam and various other Sonos around the house.
Sonos is……ok. The hardware is great and the principle is great too but I find myself regularly raging at it as the app is so mind numbingly bad. It drops WiFi connection all the time: it drops some of my products all the time: the Alexa in it gets confused if you have more than one in close proximity.
The Beam is good though and gives excellent sound for telly and films.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

I was in Curry’s at the weekend looking at the Sonos Arc and the Bose 900.

Bose 900 sounded better to me but all the reviews say Sonos Arc.

I think the connectivity piece will probably make me go Sonos Arc.

My final hurdle is the wife.

yeah i have 2 ones already and a roam so well versed in the Sonos products but wanted to see if it was worth going the hole hog with the prices as they are for premium immersive set with arc as my current set up while it's decent the wifi drops and having to set it up continuously frustrate me.

I've never had connectivity problems. Of the top of my head I have the lounge set up, dining room, bedroom, en suite, main bathroom, office room, gym, kitchen and garden. With so many devices I thought it best to get the sonos boost which sits in the hallway and keeps all sonos products on their own network.

*Not boasting about having so many products. Simply highlighting how well a boost can cope with having so many devices and getting no wifi issues.
