Theoretically you're right but considering they have to pay £15 million+ for Sala, can't imagine they'll spend excessively when they have a readymade option contracted to them.

Aha...the detail of the embargo was a ban on registering players. Even if the club already owned them they are unable to register the player. They want to recall McGuinness to play for them but are unable to. | |
