One of the things I understood about Ashton is that he likes to acquire players with a view to selling them on at a large profit.
But apart from possibly Davis (who perhaps is not good enough defensively), I am not sure there is any player whose value has increased since we acquired them. Walton might have fallen into that category at one time, but I am not sure he would do now. And players like Edwards and Harper certainly don't fit the bill.
Interestingly, the one player in our squad who seems to have the highest ceiling is our very own Cameron Humphreys. |  | | |  |

Lets look at the positive, I'm glad we have a CEO who actually gets players through the door to make us better. I think of the dark days under ME and we'd all be rejoicing with a couple of loan signings at the end of the transfer window. Perhaps MA's focus isn't about 'sell ons' at the moment and more about getting us promoted and lets be fair the squad we have now assembled is the best one we've had since we've been in L1 by a long way. |  |

Fans would rather get promoted, than make a few million (that we don't ACTUALLY need currently)

Apart from Davis. Have any signings under KM been an improvement on what we had?
I'm not putting any blame on KM here btw all he can do is ask for profiles.
But..
Freddie. I like him. Always have. But improvement in norwood?
Harness... celina ( end of day you have to compare)
Camara... erm
Leigh.... Penney ( I liked leigh but he now seems redundant)
Ahadme.... Pigott
Luongo. Doesn't even make the 18 |

Beginning of season 6 months ago I preferred leigh yes. Davis has come on massively since then however. I preferred Leighs directness at the time. But with leigh not being in the 18 now. It begs the question if if we needed him whilst we sent one on loan hence the penney inclusion. | |

Important to remember that was only 1 squad selection, it doesn't mean Leigh is completely in the wilderness. I'd have Leigh ahead of Keogh on the bench, he's more versatile. I really thought Keogh was going to be a good signing for us, but I've not been overly impressed. [Post edited 16 Jan 2023 13:31]
