In the Burnley game and the club consider a permanent move. Anything that improves the atmosphere should be welcomed surely. For me, the flags and banners in the Lower North are superb and the more noise, the better. If you want to sit in your seat and watch the game in a more sedate manner (as my old man did in his latter years) then that's fine. There are plenty of season tickets available to you in all other sections of the ground which probably give you a far better view of the game than the Lower North anyway. There's a reason that the Director's box at every ground I've ever been to is located at the side, not behind the goal. The view! Let's hope Cobbold A Block works, the club sanction a move and BA goes from strength to strength.

Towards the back. Waiting to hear from the ticket office for exact seat numbers.
Ideally, and if we can make it a permanent section, we’d want to lead from the front, but as we’re not sure how many will be joining us, we want to take maximum advantage of the roof/acoustics for this trial game.
We requested that the club reserve the whole section to stop what’s happened to you and to avoid any conflict with others, but they didn’t go for it. We raised the point again this morning and they said they wanted to honour ST holders reserved seats first. They said that they’ll take responsibility for any issues that may arise, but that they’re supporting us being there with flags and drums etc.
Im sure the club would have looked into this before sanctioning the move for the Burnley game, but are there any FA/UEFA stadium regulations about “singing sections” and away fans being in the same stand? Or said sections not exiting into the same road without segregation etc.
Only ask that, as you never tend to see the. In the same stand as one another. Although I guess that goes out the window a bit in the circular bowl stadiums.

I think this could work and could well be a catalyst for synchronising the singing from the upper and lower tiers of the North.
I think the trial needs to carry on for a few matches. It might not work initially and it shouldn't be abandoned straight away.
I have often wondered if they club could take a look at that small island at the north end of the Cobbold lower which once had seats in it. Surely between that and the disabled section at the front of section 6 there is a better use of the space. Especially with the option of rail seats.

I hope this works. As a non season ticket holder who sits in various parts of the ground it is very noticeable how often two halves of the Lower North are on a different song and sometimes the Upper North is also doing their own thing as they obviously can't hear each other. Even those in the rest of the ground that might not want to sing but are happy to clap along are left confused and it fizzles out. It has been better recently, full houses always help but if BA can help coordinate the North Stand better from Cobbold A then the more mild mannered parts of the ground will join in more as well.

Team I used to follow in Spain used to do a call and response thing between the stands, based on Scott Joplin's The Entertainer (like the Suffolk! Suffolk! Ipswich! Ipswich! chant we sometimes do). The ultras sing the first part and then collectively point at that stand they wanted to sing the follow up:
