The Most Frustrating. 17:13 - Feb 4 with 623 viewsOldFart71

We have to be the most frustrating team in the English League. Every other team fighting for promotion put's these teams away. Us, we huff and puff. have 70% of the play and then the inevitable sucker punch of a goal against. I did say in the most recent opinion on were we happy with the players brought in that I felt and still do that whichever combination of centre backs we use we are just not good enough. Silly defensive errors, and not quick enough . It concerns me that if we don't manage to get up this year what happens to all these expensive players brought in. I think one of our main problems is we would be far better suited as a Championship team than a Division One team as we obviously cannot cope with the tactics, timewasting and general hurly burly involved in getting out of this league.

It is typically us that when being in a three horse race, we're the team to miss out. I don't know why I imagined it would ever have been any other way.

There are teams in every league that do what Cambridge do. So I don't buy this better suited Championship stuff. Our defence looked like conceding on every other Cambridge attack. We conceded a penalty. We were lucky to go in 1-0 down. We had a period of 20mins where we generally looked threatening, and scored in that time.

The probability of us finishing in the play offs increased again today.

But there are more them in this league then in the Championship, especially as we're seen as a big fish in this league. I doubt we'll get the dozens of defensive teams we face at the moment in the division above.
