Automatic has pretty much gone, hasn't it? 22:39 - Feb 14 with 1082 viewsRadlett_blue

Town now 8pts off 2nd place & have played a game more. Form for a long time has been poor & a dire 0-0 with an out of form, poor Bristol Rovers pretty much confirms that we aren't going to turn things around. McKenna will huff & puff, but realistically he needs to get ready for the play offs.
If we don't go up (now about a 7/2 chance) is McKenna the right man? I actually think Town might do OK in the Championship under him, but that may never get the chance to be proven. Still endlessly rotating players from our large, expensive squad with few signs that the new players have added any value, however good they may be as individuals.

It's genuinely turned into a season where we are trying to save a play off place.

7th place game in hand only 7 behind.

We have 3 of the top 6 away.

It's actually disturbing how bad this season has turned.

Barring a miracle, yep, it’s gone.
Take the point about the new players, but it’s not like they are getting a run of games.

I think we might see some moved on in the summer, and a smaller key squad, padded out with L1 stalwarts to make up the number.

Considering games in hand, that table looks pretty awful.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

This seems eerily reminiscent of a Paul Lambert season. If it was him in charge, we'd be baying for his blood. McKenna has only had a season in charge, but it's not going very well, is it?
