All this surmising about what Sheffield and Plymouth might / could do is all very fine. The key question is what WE will do over these last games. We haven’t managed to string together a run of runs all season, so why expect us to do it now? I’d love us to do it. But in my heart I simply can’t see it.
We’re far too wasteful in front of goal and we’re flaky in defence. “ we have to win our next 2 home games”- yes we do. But look at our home record compared to the top two! How many times do we fail to beat teams who park the bus. Do we think Burton and AS are somehow NOT going to park the bus? Are we capable of breaking these two teams down? Again, Im willing us to do this, but I’m not convinced we have it in our locker.
The two previous teams to play MKD before us stuck 5 goals past them. We cough and d sad platter our way to a 1-0 win. A wins a win true, but it’s how we go about our games that makes me feel well just not quite get over that automatic promotion line. Again ding misunderstand me f et I’m my observations here….. A couple of bad results and they’ll come dressed as blue chairs, the bed sheets will be out for Moore and the atmosphere will be toxic at Hillsborough.
