Question re. website build 10:17 - Mar 7 with 493 viewsclive_baker

I wondered if anyone has an opinion on the right route to creating a website given the below criteria? A close friend wants to start something up for their side hustle, it's a range of products they're doing OK numbers on through Amazon but don't currently have their own site. There's bits I'm helping with but this is a blind spot for me.

- Needs shopping functionality.
- Needs to look sharp. Nothing revolutionary but not like a school project.

I've seen the likes of Wix DIY jobbies, wondered if they would give the desired outcome? If it's something to hand over to an expert, does anyone have any indication on cost?

Wix works well enough for that spec. I have created Wix sites for friends and family which have the shopping functionality (using Shopify plug-in).

Alternatively they could go with an Etsy store?

Thanks Unny, I'll give Wix a closer look then.

Hey a request for advice I can help with! Finally!

- Personally, I find Wix a bit non-user friendly.
- Shopify is good though and has some clean pre-designed templates - it also runs reasonably quickly.
- Wouldn't touch Squarespace for this
- Wordpress in combo with Woocomerce will offer more customization options if your mate needs that (both in terms of function and design)

All told, if it really is a straight-forward site (no subscriptions or complicated products) I;d go for Shopify, otherwise WOrdpress/woocom

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa
