I'd like to add the Kirton White Horse, which my dear old grandad used to affectionately refer to as 'The Morgue', just before heading down there at 9 pm every weeknight in the 1990s. Ironically, his continuing attendance therein was a contributing factor in his eventual residency within an actual morgue. RIP, Charlie.
My mate also got barred from there in 1999 for throwing a pint glass over the roof (fair enough); as far as I know, he is still barred.

Kirton White horse. The legend that was Fred Pitt (God rest his sole) was, at one stage the longest serving publican in the county. There was, I believe an article in the evening star 15 or so years ago. Had to dodge the dart board which crossed the back door on the way to the outside toilets, if the beer was off it was always because of the lightning strikes a few days before...lovely stuff. Was back in the village last year so popped in, now serving food and has indoor facilities!!

Was the crash related to having had a pint in each of them?
Framlingham used to have a White Horse.
They were mostly shut, unfortunately, as it was the heart of lockdown IIRC.
The crash was outside of Carlton Mere's Holiday Park where I took a turn rather too quickly on some kind of gravely sh!te surface that hadn't been properly laid. Funny how adrenaline takes over, as I thought I was perfectly fine until an hour or so after, when I hurt like feck.
So anyway, I'm unreliably informed that there are so many White Horses in such a relatively small radius because Queen Mary toured the area on...wait for it...a white horse.
