Arsenal women could be moving to the Ermirates 10:06 - Mar 31 with 962 viewsgiant_stow

Would be a massive thing obviously and push other teams to do the same. Was there for the Bayern match on Wed and it was a fantastic game! Good atmosphere - 70-odd Bayern fans turned up and interestingly to me at least, only about 10 women (I was sat right above them so could count). The arsenal skipper is an amazing footballer - their left winger good too, although the other seemed strangely reluctant to pass to her - maybe saving her for the last attacking flourish? No idea.

Anyway, would heartily recommend it - much cheaper too for those of us on a budget. ANd the really interesting thing is that the boy couldn't have cared less about whether men or women were playing - all he was interested in was seeing his first European quarter final.

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

It's been (another) very good week for women's football. Not just because the two English sides got through but two fantastic two-legged ties in the clubs main stadium, great attendance, very competitive and the women giving everything.

Poll: Is it now time to sack Paul Cook?

I'm not expert in women's football but it seems to be Arsenal are outgrowing the Borehamwood ground which I'm guessing isn't the case for a lot of the other women's teams? So not sure it is going to encourage others to do the same?

Also, playing devils advocate, don't you think the odd game there, brings the crowd, a change to go to the emirates etc. If they played every week there, would the crowds not twiddle?

I suppose even if its 10k people a week, that more than doubles their Borehamwood's capacity.

I can't pretend to know what I'm talking about and am pretty new to the women's game, so not going to argue (much!).

All I would say is that the Emirates is a draw in itself and if they 're gonna put games on with all the associated costs, I reckon it'll be in their interests to make the tickets as cheap as possible / fill it up as much as possible. They'll still make loads on the food (double burger and chips - £21 - nice burger but no burger is worth that).

The lower tier the other day was £12 for Adults and £6 for kids
The middle was £37 for adults and £17 for kids (we went for this option as a treat)
The upper was just shut, so there's got to be scope for perhaps doing it cheaper still / more cheap tickets. That would get people through the doors I reckon.
