Kyle Walker. 15:46 - Apr 8 with 1142 views | ronnyd | Pep seems to be calling him thick. He says that he will struggle to get his place back in the side playing the current system. Pep reckons that to play inside he has to make "educated movements", which Walker can't do. But, by god, he's quick.

Exposing himself in a bar was the most recent accusation. I broadly agree with what Pep said. Walker is fine, made to look much better than he is by raw pace. Has always been error prone/liable to make stupid decisions, even though his overall game has been satisfactory to get him into one of the most dominant sides in history. This just seems like an ultimatum aired in public - do as I say, or go the way of Cancelo.

You don’t play for England and City consistently as long as he has , winning as much as he has just with pace Regardless of his personal life which really has nothing to do with his footballing ability , most Prem teams would take him

Yeah he's fine as I said, but his pace covers up a lot of his weaknesses. He has been a vital player for City, and much improved on when he was at Spurs. Off the field, he has let the club down a number of times. Maybe that has been a factor in this current situation, although it could just be a challenge from Pep for him to step up to the mark. This seems likely as he mentioned Ake's transformation and it wasn't so long ago he told the world Phillips was overweight. High standards from Pep on and off the pitch surely?

I wonder if he'd ever end up back at the Blunts for nostalgia purposes? He's done it all at city, wherever he went next, he'd need to make the right move
