Anyone know what Terry Hunt had to say in EADT today? 11:41 - Apr 24 with 3938 viewscbower

No, me neither. Can't see too many 'new' subscribers myself. Shame really liked Watson and Warren and Ross Halls Matchday was reasonable. Hopefully a boost to TWTD numbers as more people use this superb website and the Blue Monday Pod for their Town information.

Like others have said, it does feel like a bit of a backward step and adds a very corporate feel to what has always been “our” little old local paper.

This explains a bit of it. Some fair points to be honest. Even so, the big allure they’ve always had is being somewhat of the town’s voice and one of the strongest links between us (the fans) and the club due to their level of access.

Maybe that link isn’t as prominent right now because Ashton and others are a more open and visible face of the club.

I agree with all of that, but I think the timing has rubbed people up the wrong way. Two weeks before the end of a potentially historic season.

The timing won’t have been based on the sports coverage, I doubt.

I’m with Joe. We’re very lucky to be served by TWTD, excellent podcasts like Blue Monday and a dedicated team at the EADT. Local media is under massive pressure atm. If we can support it, as individuals, we should.

RIP Sir Bobby

Personally, I prefer the more objective stuff that EADT put out to the in-house stuff that the club puts out, however open it may be these days.

Town in 5 is an honourable exception.
