Saw The Vapours at Bearded Theory last year, spent the whole of the set dancing with a beautiful black girl and when we walked away she told me how they were one of the bands her Dad liked and took me to meet her Mum (who would have preferred to have been watching The Selecter on the main stage) at the back of the Arena. Good live band and they did play 'Turning Japanese'.

Saw them around 1980 in Guildford. Played about 20 minutes and a mini riot broke out between punks, mods and some skinheads. Eventually got the gig started again. They were bang average to be honest.
We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub.

Maybe they are older and wiser now, except for the lead guitarist who is the son of the bass player - so I doubt he was part of the original line up. Spent most of the set throwing shapes as he played, much to the annoyance of his Dad. That alone made them worth watching.
