Yes, but some people waved around some banners at the rugby.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I’ve mentioned this before - but the financial burden is increasingly falling on the state, this more than anything might motivate Govts in to action. Australian bushfires are all now but uninsurable, and Florida homeowners are increasingly reliant on the state to cover windstorm due to increasing severity and frequency.

Out of sight, out of mind innit. 10 years ago Greenland Inuits we’re losing their way of life as winter hunting grounds on the sea ice started to break up, leading to people having to leave the island and become itinerant workers. There are countless stories like that from all over the globe. Very few people batted an eyelid. Many may not even realise what’s happening now and think it’s all ‘Project Fear’ for the future.

There was a play on Radio 4 a week or two back about border guards on 'the island' who failed to stop some of 'the others' getting over 'the wall'. As a consequence those guards were punished by being put to sea (not in a beautiful pea-green boat). They soon became 'the others' themselves and realised just exactly what was going on outside what they thought of as their safe environment - wrong!

I didn't listen to it very closely, because it was crap, but that was the general gist of it I think.
