Pen was pretty much the same, player A goes to kick ball away, player B gets a tap on it and player A accidentally kicks the leg. If todays was a pen then so was the Morsy one.

Red card, it was a red, which is why the ref gave it and so did the VAR officials, it was reckless.

Regarding Barnsleys spell, we'll have the disagree with that, Yes Barnsley had a couple half chances but they let wednesday get at them so many times.

Penalty is debateable, I never like those ones where one player gets in a fraction of a second before the other, they always look worse on the slow motion replays.

It is never a red card though, it wasn't reckless, he came in with his foot moving upwards because he was obviously looking to loft the ball when he made contact, the other player got in first, so it is a foul, but Phillips had correctly anticipated there was no risk to coming in like that as Gregory wasn't going to be in his path. It is a fowl as Gregory gets there first and his trailing leg makes contact with him, maybe a yellow, but it is really poor by the ref as he has just gone from the high boot without considering if it was actually endangering an opponent.
