Birmingham - Parking 09:09 - Jun 13 with 4312 viewsZx1988

Does anyone have any knowledge of good places to park in Birmingham?

I'm going to the Springsteen concert at Villa Park on Friday, and probably spending most of the day in Brum. For a major city, there seems to be pretty limited information on parking, and no sign of any sort of Park & Ride system for anyone coming from the east of the city.

Am I best advised to take the hit on the clean air charge and head for somewhere like Snow Hill? Or are there better options elsewhere? Star City looks like a good potential option, but I can't find anything online about whether there are time limits on the parking there.

Indeed! That's what has prompted me to give a little more thought to the parking situation, as the article makes it sound as if it's fairly endemic in the Birmingham area.

Digbeth area is definitely dodgy for parking. Although there are plenty of options around there. As well as cars being wholly or partially nicked, last time we were there my brother parked down a side street and by the time we got back it had been moved about 20 yards away to an off-road spot. Left us totally bemused as someone must've taken the effort to tow it there

No point going to digbeth. Might as well drive to the area around villa park and use the streets.

Watch for the drug dealers, gangs, and car protection racket urchins though.
