Had a formal party for mother in law's 80th birthday, and my electric razor was out of charge*, so went to a Barber's Shop for my first ever shave with a cut throat razor, it cost about a quiz in local currency.
I was imaging some prep, like a hot towel, but no straight on with some gel and scraped my face with what (to me) felt like a blunt razor... But then I've never had a Barber's Shop shave before and had 2/3 says growth.
May have to try in UK for proper comparison.
* The Wife had lent the multi converter to someone and not got it back much like 2 of our cases, which I only found out about 24 hours before travelling. |  |
