Not going to pretend I follow them too closely, but it seems like they are losing a lot of key players this Summer.

2 seasons of near misses might be followed by a slightly tougher season?

Contracts in women's football tend to be much shorter - often only one or two years, so players move between clubs more often.

Town have signed a defender today from West Ham, who has WSL experience and was previously at Chelsea.

Sounds like they will be very active in the transfer market this summer, so the end of the window would be a better time to assess the current squad.

I would imagine the ownership group would want to see both men's and women's teams progress up the leagues.

Looks like we will need a huge rebuild. Some of the players that have left are going to tough to replace - Sarah Quantrill and Anna Grey in particular. Maddie Biggs and Abbie Lafayette were both fab players as well. All 4 of those should be playing in a higher league - I guess they all will be now.

Which for the past 2 seasons has been incredibly difficult due to the league rules. The upcoming season the rules have changed haven't they? Perhaps a season too late and now we need to rebuild.

Yes, the winners of the league now get promoted rather than going to a play-off final. I think we will need to make several signings to have a chance of that given that many of the best players have just left.
