Think we're still building our recruiting set up which will take time. Sam Williams came in about 12 months ago. We added someone else in January and another at the end of the season. It would be really easy to 'take a punt' on some foreign talent without knowing how good a fit the individual would be. |  |

Coming up into the Championship made it easier to attract foreign players who would have passed the old GBE criteria - plenty of well established Championship clubs had foreign players. Think it's more our recruitment infrastructure. | |

Indeed, but why would we have an international recruitment infrastructure when we were in a league where it could virtually never be used?
As you say, it's being built now but I wouldn't expect any major bargains for a while.

I think it’s valid to suggest we should have prepared to exploit the overseas market and to be fair I don’t think the lack of overseas signings actually proves we haven’t. A lot could change in the next few days. |  | | |
