This is something that certainly needs tackling, and it seems referees are booking players pretty fast without any prior warning.
Yellow cards have little effect though really, and in fact can end up benefitting one of your rivals when the player is suspended against them later in the season, and it gives you nothing in the game.
How about instead of cards, reversing the decision ? Goal kick becomes a corner, throw changes hands, free kick goes the other way ?
This would seem to be fairer and would really make teams think about wasting time over a restart. |  |
