Watching the most fluent egg chasing team ever is like watching Wimbledon FC circa 1985, except Wimbledon didn't just boot the ball out of play quite as much.

Remember the good old days when everyone in the squad was a proper Suffolk boy?

Like Surrey born Roy Bailey.

Like Edinburgh born Billy Baxter.

Like Liverpool born Larry Carberry.

Like Aberdeen born Ken Malcolm.

Liek Nant-y-derry born John Elsworthy.

Like Edinburgh born Jimmy Leadbitter.

Like Brynteg born Aled Owen.

Like India born Reg Pickett.

Like Crook born Reg Stephenson.

Like Portsmouth born Ray Crawford.

Like Dublin born Dermot Curtis.

Like Musselburgh born Doug Moran.

Got to miss those days back in the early 60's when Town players truly represented Ipswich and the county of Suffolk.

Shambles what the club has become.

If only we had more Ipswich born and raised players in the current squad than we did in 1962.
