I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Isn't that a big part of the problem that no legitimate opposition where we are really exists? What percentage of the population (or even just the electorate) know Brexit is an utter disaster? But no one is going to do anything to correct it. Instead we have a choice between utter disaster and corruption on steroids or lesser disaster without any certainty of corruption.

I think it will be corrected but no political party is going to say a word about it in opposition. At the moment it’s a bit like having square wheels on your car. You can go forwards, but the ride is terrible and everyone is going past you. Eventually, you have to do the obvious thing about it. That means rejoining the EU in the future, long after the current idiots are gone.

You mustn’t forget that nobody knew what Brexit actually meant. Literally nothing. Slogans and soundbites in 2016. Utter ignorance of it persisted until 18 months later when the full horror of what they had brought on this country began to emerge to some. Denial was followed by confusion, rage and blame. We are currently at rage and blame still.

No, most of the population have no idea about Brexit. Some hold their same stupid baseless views, most people are disinterested and bored with the very word. It’s is a political no go area so agreements will hopefully be made quietly with the EU and will accelerate when the likes of Macron are gone in addition to the mugs here.

And even if there is the will on pesticides, this passage from the PAN report indicates there is probably not the resources in DEFRA to do anything about it. Don't forget that virtually all the law that DEFRA overseas emanated from the EU, meaning that, without a vast increase in staff and expertise, DEFRA doesn't have the capacity to properly take over all the functions that before Brexit fell to the EU.

"A major cause of this divergence in standards is a UK government decision to grant all pesticides with licenses due to expire before December 2023 an automatic extension of three years. This decision – which is apparently due to a lack of UK government capacity to reapprove pesticides – flies in the face of the UK pesticide regime pre-Brexit."
