Ha. No similarities there... I've moved on. I've aways liked fullbacks and our current two could be the best of the lot. I was thinking that of Clarke too but Williams is even better. Harry needs games (Fulham?) And i hope having a few training sessions as a central defender in case he's needed.

Williams is a far better defender I'd say, Clarke is a lot rawer but full of potential too

I actually think Clarke looked fairly good at left back when he filled in there too

My thoughts are these:

(i) well done to the lad for spotting the similarities and splicing those together.
(ii) it was a really good goal wasn't it?!
(iii) former players, heroes, greats like Taricco, were just human. They ran on the pitch, gave it their best shot, had good days and less good days, just like the current lot. They did all of that in the present tense, if you see what I mean. What we're looking back on was just a moment that happened in the present, just like yesterday did at the time!

Maybe a good number of the current lot can become hugely successful, much loved, a bit cult, or some combination of the three.

The bad times make the good times taste all the sweeter...
