Could have been a worse player to get injured, but still annoying.

Get well soon Wes, assume that’s 8-12 weeks -ish?

RIP Sir Bobby

We've got plenty of short term cover in , Jackson, Harness, Omari, Clarke, or even Brandon, if it came to it.....
Slight blessing, if you could call it that, is that KM has some good time on the training pitch with whomever he slots in, just for the finer details, during this International break.
Personally, never understood the less than complimentary comments towards Burns, or any individual in the first team. When its blatantly obvious we work as "a team". And don't rely on an individual star as a talisman... We have goals and assists from all over the pitch. What Burns brings, is ingrained movement, timing and athleticism to a McKenna system. And a telepathy with team mates, built up over 18 months, as evident by the Chaplin invisible assist for Burns, verses Hull...
Lets hope Burns injury isn't a bad one. But I've no doubt, that KM would have plans afoot, for just such an incident, involving "any" of our starting eleven. Such is his attention to detail and being prepared in advance.
My view is that he'll chose an athlete to fill in , against Rotherham. Jackson or Harness, neither of which have let us down this season.. And both are very well drilled, having been here for the full duration of KM's time here... I'm not sure Omari is a full blown starter for an away game, yet. Perhaps KM, wanting to see how the game pans out, before unleashing him?... Omari, certainly in contention for a start at PR, with the way we play at home, though, imo.

Depends how much damage was done when he did it - if it just popped out and in again can be fit in a week or two

Got a few options there though - Jackson as the like for like, Hutchinson as something a bit different and then Harness can play there too

People are making the assumption that it’s a shoulder injury (maybe cos of how he fell).

As I posted on another thread, If you look at the still photo on the TWTD news feature, looks to me from the way he’s carrying himself and what looks like strapping on his lower arm, that it might be a wrist or forearm injury.

Poll: Town's most cultured left foot ever?

I thought the same when I saw the pics, could be shoulder, elbow, wrist injury... The way they've wrapped him, looks like a possible fractured wrist...

I reckon its collar bone. Your instinct is normally to touch the area, and it's the first thing Burns does with his right hand when he falls, it goes across his chest onto his collar bone on the side he fell.
