I was at Castle Hill junior school and then Northgate Grammar with Tony Amos whose Dad ran successfully for the Liberals in Council elections in the mid 1960s. I got an email during the week from another old school friend letting me know that Tony has now sadly passed away. |  |

I knew Jamie Cann well ,(the MP that is as his son was also Jamie).I got to know Jamie as I was part of the Labour group in Ipswich at the time and had many drinking sessions in the old Civic Social Club in Ipswich with him, that was back in the day when Labour was proper Labour and bears little resemblance to the lot who call themselves Labour now. |  | | |
