Because his confidence and touch are very poor.

Tbf to him I suspect he’s treading water at the club now. He knows his game time is limited snd I’d probably just waiting for another club now. He was never the quickest anyway …

Hirst is out. This is his chance to impose himself and make the place his own. Unfortunately he is failing to do that but, in fairness to him, I never saw him as a "one up front" type.of striker. From memory, in his career, he's been better in a pairing.

Absolutely he works better in a pairing. But I think the Championship is a level just above him unfortunately. No disgrace in that. He’s fine very well to adapt under McKenna requirements as it is. So I have respect for him. But I do think he needs a new challenge now. We will get another striker in snd he knows that. I think he knows he’s in borrowed time , but I really do wish him well.

You would have thought today was more than his level, this isn't doing him any favours if other Clubs are watching him..

As said though, a goal will do him the world of good.

He's got himself in the right place in the box three or four times but not been decisive enough. Like you say a goal would help, but he's not going to start playing anything like Hirst.

Altho he scored a decent number of goals in a struggling Rotherham side last time he was in the Champ.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?
