Get VAR to the Championship 15:28 - Feb 3 with 4119 viewsCustardCream

I know there’s a lot wrong with VAR and every team feels they get shafted my the officials every week… but we actually do.

Would still be 0-0 and possibly a man advantage if we had VAR today

More like keep VAR out the championship.
Most days Talksport has people thinking it's killing the premiership.
Me, I'll take the occasional wrong decision over the horrible loss of spontaneity any day... because logically it will come close to balancing out over a season.

No to VAR. I want to celebrate when the ball hits the net, not four minutes later after VAR officials have finished procrastinating.

This "things even themselves out over the course of a season" doesn't seem to apply to us either. Or can people provide examples to say otherwise?

Fans have a huge bias & naturally remember the dubious decisions that go against their tema, conveniently forgetting or not even recognising the ones that went in their favour. I know several fans of PL clubs who otherwise seem sane to me, but seem to genuinely believe that their is s systemic bias against their club.

A good compromise would be VAR in the champ for offsides only. As offsides (99.9% the time) are factual and not subjective

Err,,no. One of the biggest issues with VAR is the endless agonising over hair's breadth offside decisions.

No to VAR for me. It destroys the flow of the game. Human error is part of it and over 46 matches it will, by and large, even itself out in my view. Goal line technology - great. But leave it at that.

The more people involved in a decision, the more likely you will get inconstant results. VAR, by design, can never work properly.
