Umbro/Castore 15:29 - May 8 with 1419 views | Zx1988 | Just came across this tweet from FootballShirtCulture, which reminded me of Castore's recent acquisition of Umbro: A little bit of digging suggests that Burnley's deal with Umbro wasn't due to expire until 2026 ( https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/burnley-kit-umbro-partnershi "Burnley's previous agreement with Umbro concluded in 2022 but the new agreement will see the Manchester-based firm work with the Clarets until 2026." So it potentially looks as if Castore are already migrating clubs over to their own brand, rather than continuing old Umbro deals. I bloody hope that we're not in line for this treatment. From what I've heard, Castore kit quality has been utterly abysmal.

I'm not sure of the specifics, but it reads to me as if Castore bought the rights to market/use the Umbro brand within Europe: https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/castore-umbro-sublicensing-west-ham-bournemo If that's correct, I imagine that they've taken over existing contracts between European clubs and Umbro and, by extension, have the ability to ask/force clubs to move over to Castore branding?
