Also, McKenna is not alien to the EPL, he came from a senior coaching role at Man Utd and is said to have played a pivotal role in setting up the team when OGS joined, although the tactics got scuppered when they brought in a bunch of players that didn't fit the plan.
Nobody is saying he's favourite to be the next Man Utd manager, or it's not a risk for Man Utd to take him on. What is being said is Man Utd are shopping and McKenna is one of the names on their list.

Who's this new chief exec they're trying to employ from newcastle? He's on gardening leave i think but its all subject to negotiation/litigation and until that's sorted i'm not sure they will make such a huge change.
