And I am not convinced, given his heritage, that McKenna would want the job.

I would imagine that one of the big thrills of his job is working daily with players to improve them. He wouldn't get that with any national job and far too early in his stage of career anyway. He is certainly destined for greatness, he hust has to make the right career choices at the right time.
