KM's new release clause 08:17 - May 28 with 5460 viewsMrPorterloo

Assuming KM is signing a new contract, and that his previous release clause was something like £6m, what (roughly) can we expect his new release clause to be?
One logic says more money all round = bigger release clause.
Another logic says KM is in such a powerful position that the clause would remain small by prem standards or even go down.
We have all come to terms with losing him one day, I am just wondering if we will get a load of cash for that when the day eventually happens.

The contract is almost irrelevant. He'll be gone next summer either way - keep us up and he'll get poached, go down, he'll get poached. Just gonna enjoy the season and see where it takes us.

It really depends on how well united..Chelski ..Brighton etc are all doing ..if we go down and their managers are doing OK..hes going nowhere. Either way stay up..he may want to see how far he can take us with further reinforcements

This is exactly the attitude we should all be taking. If our biggest problem this time next year is that we're going to lose mckenna and sell omari for only double what we paid for him, that would be a magnificent result.

Poll: Which would you accept?

The better KM does with us the narrower the pool of jobs that look like a step up. It's already fairly narrow.
