This was written by Dee Dee and Joey in disgust at the visit and wreath-laying of Reagan at a cemetery in which numerous Waffen-SS soldiers were buried. It is so far as I am aware the only political song the Ramones wrote, but it is a cracking song with a great intro, and seems particularly apt at a time when Europe is moving to the right and there are stories like this.
"We had watched Reagan going to visit the SS cemetery on TV and were disgusted. We're all good Americans, but Reagan's thing was like forgive and forget. How can you forget six million people being gassed and roasted?"
