Certainly is a nice benchmark for us against a Champions league regular. Obviously the intensity of pre season games doesn't prepare anyone for the real action, but getting up close and personal against that level of opposition can only be a good thing as an exercise.
Not a trip I'll be making as I have plans already, but Austria is a beautiful country and tying it in to a few days out there sounds like a great idea. |  | | |

However proximity to airports is problematic
Vienna international is is a near 4hr car journey - 339km
Trieste Airport is closer at 167km and 2 hrs - and no direct flights
But Ljubljana airport 55mins away at 82km! EasyJet from Gatwick one way £155
