Deserved to win the game, all over the Dutch first half had Koeman scrambling. Totally overrun in midfield, Foden inches away from scoring his trade mark Omari goal.
Quality won that game at the end, Netherlands had chances and didn't stick the ball in the onion bag!

Got to start with the same 11 as today, we were all over the Dutch first half, but hopefully Southgate makes early changes if needed .. 65 mins..we are playing like a team, and Spains open play should suit us, defensively we need to be strong, Spain have scored four goals against Germany and France to get them through but not necessarily dominated the games. Spain will be favourites for sure, they’ve looked excellent so far. If they’re to win the Euros they will have done so beating Croatia, Italy, Germany, France & England. Very hard to argue they won’t have deserved it if they do, but you never know. England have got some excellent players and have found a way thus far. |  | | |

Sometimes being underdogs helps a lot in sport.
If Foden gets in space in the 10 role... Bellingham supporting, Saka out wide. Can Luke Shaw put in a more than a cameo. Like others personally Kane needs a rest but what a perfect penalty!

Subdued has been the mood re England everywhere really, not least because until last night they’ve been pretty dreadful, dull and just scraping by.
However, I was travelling home from London on the train during the first half, people were following it on their phones/playing 5 Live and it was the topic of conversation. Sunday will be fun - I’m looking forward to it.
Spain will be favourites of course as they are the best team, but in sport you never know and despite their shortcomings, England do have grit.
And there is of course the added bonus of the Scottish haters all having to buy yet another shirt 😃 |  | | |
