What's the negative with adding another member of the coaching team that Kieran sees value in lol.
Also where is this nonsense about the ground not being ready coming from? Someone saying their mate is a workman?
We laid a new pitch last season and that was a vital to the playing side. Having a few executive boxes kitted out or some signage isn't going to stop a game from going ahead. I'm pretty sure Ashton and Gamechanger have prioritized the stuff that actually had to be done first.
The fact we are bothering with non-vital work, like the executive boxes, simultaneously with the stuff that has to be done tells me there was no concerns at all the important stuff would be done.
I also reckon we have noticed Hladky has left and might be working on a goalkeeper signing in the remaining five(!) weeks we have.

What's your beef with David Martin as a coach?
We're likely to have Johsnon, Delap, Greaves and Hutchinson all in with over a month to go until the start of the season and we've recouped some decent money on surplus players like El-Miz and Ahadme. We've also made the biggest signing we could this summer in keeping KM among stiff competition. The works to the ground are quite complex but I don't think there's any suggestion we won't be ready to host Liverpool? Unless I've missed something.
We've still got over 5 weeks until we play Liverpool, there will be plenty more activity in the transfer market including a keeper (or 3). |  | | |

Well I posted this when getting off the bus this morning so didn't give enough detail on what are my concerns. Apologies.
Why announce the David Martin arrival to coincide with the fact that we are a goalkeeper short for the pre season tour? And just after the statement that Hladky has left. Martin is a panic addition. Quick phone around to local clubs. Surely he will be playing as cover and coaching is secondary for the moment. Coaching, do we need another goalkeeping coach?
Why oh why expect Hladky to extend his contract without giving him Premier League incentives to do that? Walton will not be coming back in to play our way. Ashton "dropped the ball" in letting Hladky go. If Walton comes back in, he had better take his chance, or we're looking for two high quality keepers who will each need paying more than Walton. And they will have to play without a full pre-season of our style. And Mark you were trying to get Hladky to agree to extend his January 2024 contract which was a League One one? Or championship at best?
Pretty much wherever I've worked on a project, the constructors are first to know when a project will get delayed and they do tend to be right. It's just the way things are. Nothing to blame Mark for here except the gung ho "we will be ready and can play match day 1 at home". Again no backing down as yet.
Ashton's minuses, he took the hump with:
Hladky's agent - this is reality now you are in the Premier League, Mark. The agent knew how much Hladky was worth to ITFC, you did not.
