I thought we could use a poll to try and estimate the what the chance was of winning in the Liverpool ticket ballot.... by seeing how many people won/lost and using this as an estimate for the overall probability.
If you entered the ballot and want to help out, the poll is at:
I entered the ballot for Liverpool tickets and the result was...
Ballot poll - what were the odds? on 18:34 - Jul 25 by SitfcB
Not enough sample size.
Would’ve been approx 1,200 tickets available in the ballot with god knows how many eligible to enter.
If this poll gets above 100 votes I would say with the way the law of averages work it’ll be a pretty good indicator on the percentage chance of getting a ticket in the ballot. Assuming most who failed in the ballot try and buy a ticket on Monday I think if the result is 25% or more got a ballot ticket we can also assume all or at least nearly all wanting a ticket on Monday will indeed get one.

Must admit I don't know enough on this, but unless the club release the numbers something like this is gonna be the most practical way of getting some sort of an estimate....
Obiously if only a handful of people vote it won't be that great an estimate - wonders what sample size we would need? As it is a random draw we don't need it to be represntative of a population. Obviously it's dependent on whether people who won are as likey to vote as those who lost.
