A narrow 4-2-3-1 seems the best formation. 23:55 - Aug 15 with 1511 views | Mercian | Szmods and Hutch are better suited playing as wide attacking midfielders than as true wide men. Kalvin can play centre half and can drop back to form a back 3 when needed. I don't know much about Johnson, what is he like going forward? [Post edited 15 Aug 2024 23:56]

I think we could see Hutchinson & Szmodics starting as a pair of #10's, behind Delap, for the Liverpool & City games, in order to allow for an extra body in midfield (Taylor or even Phillips if he has the fitness), or possibly for us to go with 3 at the back. It wouldn't surprise me if Edmundson was brought in to help deal with the pace & powerful running of the Liverpool front players.

"Edmundson brought in to help deal with the pace & powerful running of the Liverpool front players." I know what you mean but my god that sounds terrifying!

I was thinking of 3 at the back, Tuanzebe, Woolfy and Greaves. Johnson/clarke and Leif either side. Morsey and Taylor in the middle with Chaplain, Hutch and Delap up top.
