Selling Gallagher for £35m is crazy though compared to the prices we've seen this summer, eg Rutter going for £40m.

I do fear that some people have never seen football clubs get it wrong before.
Maybe we stay up and this deal works well, maybe we don't and then everyone reassesses in hindsight. Perhaps rather better to stay open-minded. |

Understandable really. I would imagine both he and Calvin Phillips expect better than a side expected to be relegated. That also makes it quite an achievement to get them in the door.
Ultimately it looks like the only way we sign Broja after the loan is if we stay up and both he and Town are happy to find a mutually agreeable offer. This suggests he either falls in love with Town and is a huge success here or it ends as just a loan. | |
