Ref Watch on Sky 08:21 - Aug 26 with 2460 viewsWickets

At 11am today doubt they will even mentionittle Ipswich's penalty claim ?? Those who know how to message Sky could demand coverage I suppose .

PL Rule: Ensure the Big Clubs get all the decisions.

I can't think of a more boring program to watch, ever.

Poll: Would Lambert have acheived better results than Cook if given the same resources

i’m watching it now sky pundits are saying they don’t know how it hasn’t even gone to var because it’s a ‘clear and obvious’ error

Clear as day, Gallagher couldn't argue against it.

VAR ref was David Coote who also refereed the Bournemouth game yesterday...

I know Coote from the East Midlands and not Norfolk, but wonder if he is related the the ex Naaridge player Adrian Coote?

Shocking that he just sat there and smiled.

Poll: Should these Polls show number of votes as well as percentages?

Do we think PGMOL might be sending Kieran a letter of apology?

I'd like to hear the audio from the VAR guys tbh. Although, how reliable that audio is I'm not sure.

They will probably send one to Farke, because they only seem to have his address.

It's hard to argue that we would have got a result only for VAR, but the first decision to give the penalty (correctly if we accept that an intervention was in order as per the guidelines) did have a massive impact on the game. It unsettled us after taking the lead; who knows how we might have done had we kept it at 0-1 for the next 10 minutes.
But it was given, & the 5 minute meltdown that followed left us in a desperate state, BUT we recovered, limited their attack³ (ok 2 shots off the woodwork, but they were misses) after that & started to play our back into it.
Then we had the second incident, again at a key time, just before the break. The ref got it wrong, VAR got it wrong & worse, VAR got it doubly wrong by not even asking the ref to look at it, as they did with the first incident. Wrong, inconsistent & particularly egregious given the earlier incident. Going in at 3-2, having gotten one back, would be a very different prospect, psychologically, than being 3-1 down where they took lashed in 3 goals in 5 minutes.
It should have been a consistent both given or both denied, but City benefiited massively from both & we were negatively affected by both.
I don't even want to consider what might have been had we gotten the benefit of both decisions, instead of City.
