Now has as many goals for ITFC as Colin Viljoen.

I hope he goes on to get a few more for us but he isn't guaranteed to start as many games this season and we obviously aren't going to be scoring quite as many goals. I'm glad he got on the scoresheet last night, even if we did then screw it up from the spot.

Chaplin is now one behind James Scowcroft and Darren Bent in the ITFC scoring charts, and two behind Bryan Hamilton and Simon Milton.

He has been one of our best recent signings. His goals in L1 and Championship have massively helped us to be where we are. Been excellent and I hope he get's his chance, but fear not.

He has been a excellent signing has Connor

Funnily enough, I was just sorting through my boxes of old Ipswich stuff today and I found my Colin Viljoen testimonial programme.
Forgot that he was actually with Ipswich for that long. First came on my radar between ‘72 and ‘76 when he was such an important part of that superb Bobby Robson team.
He was a genius, whether playing on that beautiful 70’s carpet at PR or the muddy swamp at Derby’s old Baseball Ground or Anfield.
Strong, quick, intelligent and always looking for the killer forward pass.

Poll: September 2025. Which one?

Never realised Milton scored so many! Obviously played for us for a while so makes sense.
