Let’s go back then shall we first of I shouldn’t have been triggered by what you said.
Now as to us “ occupying “ any part of Ireland is nonsense. When the ROI was formed the six counties that now form NI did not leave the union so they have never been part of the ROI.
As they never left and were part of the union before partition you could argue that NI is actually an older state than the south. However no matter what way you try to dress it up the FACT remains there are TWO countries on the island of Ireland.now have a nice day the sun is actually out today here in NI so I’m going to enjoy it cheerio.

So the UK never conquered and colonised Ireland in the 17th century?
Ulster was never apart of Ireland?

Thinking there may have to be a quick history lesson needed next time we meet

Didn’t say that did I mate? WHEN partition happened the 6 counties were never part of the ROI were they? So we have never occupied ROI territory.

But the UK clearly occupied Ireland prior to partition. To pretend it didn't is attempting to rewrite history on a enormous scale.

I nearly PMed you the other week as thought you'd be interested in Irish/N Ireland history. Was asked to put trenches through what was supposed to be the site of the battle of pettigo. There was gonna be quite a few spectators ( few histotian types, Donegal Council etc) and was gonna see if you fancied popping over to have a look.

In the end I got called over to an 'emergency ' job near Dublin and got someone to do the Pettigo job for me.
Though was a complete anti climax as there was absolutely nothing there. They had clearly got the location completely wrong.

"Now if you want to go back into history surely every body has a reason to boo each others anthem!"

What historical reason have the English got to boo the Irish anthem?

They gave us Jedward, that's enough for anyone to boo.
