He just gets the system. Knows his job and does it well
He doesn't have to have done much himself on the ball to make a difference. He understands the press but in a way that's not even about pace it's direction.
That's an excellent observation I think. I noticed that in his thirty minutes today - he pre-positions himself so well to press so he doesn't have to charge in to force a defender to do something he doesn't really want to do.

Yeah exactly that, he just floats into certain gaps and his body shape dictates where he wants to direct the opposition. Really good stuff.
I like everything about him. He's clearly pretty switched on, he did the Suffolk post match interview and he speaks with a lot of clarity and thought, not many cliches and doesn't tend to stumble over his words. Also for a northerner he's actually got a nice voice.
