We need more of this in our politics. Over the last decade politicians with opposing views have been portrayed as enemies rather than opponents. Yet there have been great friendships between Labour and Conservative politicians over the years. The most recent being that of Jo Cox and Andrew Mitchell, who were not inky great friends but worked closely together on putting forward humanitarian solutions to the crisis in Syria. Cross party cooperation and friendship is more rare these days as ideology took over.
Also, Angela Rayner is a real asset for this government. Very human and very likeable.
