Davis/Phillips 23:09 - Nov 15 with 4688 views | Zx1988 | Assuming Leif continues on his current trajectory, and Phillips keeps on improving and gets back to his best, who would get the England call-up first? I'd like to think Leif, but would Phillips' prior history give him the upper hand in terms of a return to the squad?

Davis/Phillips on 07:49 - Nov 17 by Blue_Heath | Sadly, whilst both are at Town answer is likely neither. See Marcus Stewart last time we were in prem, ditto Kieron Dyer. |
Bit different with Stewart though. As good as he was for us he’d spent his career in the lower leagues and had Owen, Heskey, Cole & Fowler ahead of him who had all proven themselves at the top level for years. Delap’s a very different profile having been through the age groups with England and City and been highly thought of for a long time, with plenty of time on his side. That’s not to say scoring goals for a bigger club wouldn’t help his chances, but aside from Kane & Watkins I don’t really see anyone who would be ahead of him if he scores 20 premier league goals for us between now and Spring 2026.

Davis/Phillips on 00:47 - Nov 16 by SWBlue22 | I think Delap gets called up before either of them to be honest. |
Agreed. He could be the next ‘big thing’. He seems to have it all and has taken to the PL like a duck to water.
