But watching some of the games tonight makes you realise how different some players are to ours.
Some of the passing is ridiculous. Effortless chips across over to saka just now. Then close control a run into the box pass to another who takes on 2 defenders passes and they almost score. Its just so effortless.

The thing that struck me last night when the players lined up was how fooking massive some of those Palace lads were. Make no mistake, there is plenty of skill at this level but the strength and athleticism are a real culture shock. [Post edited 4 Dec 2024 21:36]

Its the same at every level.
The number of times I have had discussions with non league watching friends about players who are clearly very good, but are a bit slow, or a bit small. The answer is always- if they were bigger and quicker, they wouldn't be playing here, they'd be in the next division up (or more). |  | | |

It's no surprise that players like Saka, Odegaard, Partey etc are a level above anything we or teams around us have. Not sure what your point is, the top of the Premier is effectively a different keague from ours. |  | | |

I remember going to the Newcastle game at PR It was the sir Bobby memorial day. And even back then when the teams came out and you saw town walk out next to their players they looked massive in comparison. | |
