I mean when Ashton was saying no to stadium wifi at the AGM he said 'would you rather a million quid on wifi or a new striker' so getting Bishop fits that price range...

But seriously, no, absolutely not happening. I went and watched him in Jan last year when we were talking about getting him and he wasnt good enough in League One. We fish in a different pond now

How about Dane Scarlett? He’s banging them in for Oxford, younger than Bishop who’s been unfit most of the season. I reckon £20m should secure his signing.

Or other end of the age range, David Nugent anyone? Cracking goalscoring record. Was pundit on Sky tonight and has looked after himself for 39. Sure he could do a job so what’s not to like? Would be quite cheap too.

Probably still a bit too soon for Nugent given the number of times he's been linked / rumoured(?). After 40 his options will diminish, then perhaps we'll see some movement.
